Leatherworking is a craft that has been around for centuries and has a wide variety of applications in everyday life.
Based in Central Queensland I have been doing leatherworking for several years. The items that I create are all handmade using as many Australian Made products as possible, including the leather.
Are you sick of using insect sprays or are looking for a way to limit chemical exposure to your family and pets? Then you can't go past one of these awesome Leather (Fly shaped) Fly Swats.
Each one is made of Genuine Australian Full Grain Leather with plenty of strength and durability to take on any pesky Flies that come your way. With an overall length of 50cm and a sturdy wooden dowel or forged steel handle you will be able to swat with confidence and ease. The swats also feature a handy hole at the end of the handle to hang it up from after the job is done.
Aftercare:
We recommend treating your leather item with some Dubbin or a quality leather conditioner every 12 months to keep the leather soft and flexible.

Leatherworking has interested me for many years, the feel, the smell, it is a very tactile material.
Did you know that leather is a recycled material? If it wasn't for the fact that leather is used for making products with, either practical or decorative applications, over 7 million tonnes of hides would end up as refuse and landfill around the world.
The leather that I use is Australian sourced and Australian tanned where possible.
I am proud to be supporting Australian Made.
I have a range of handmade leather items available for purchase and I am happy to work with you on custom orders too.
