Leatherworking is a craft that has been around for centuries and has a wide variety of applications in everyday life.
Based in Central Queensland I have been doing leatherworking for several years. The items that I create are all handmade using as many Australian Made products as possible, including the leather.
Crossbody bags are a very popular and practical style of handbag. A crossbody bag is worn across the body with a long strap that keeps the bag close to the person wearing it. The long fully adjustable strap allows you to keep your hands free for other tasks.
They have an external zipper pocket on the back for smaller items that can be easily retrieved, such as house keys etc. While in the main zippered compartment there is plenty of room to carry a phone, purse, tablet and much more.
Each bag is made from a combination of leather and cowhide, are fully lined with fabric and have robust YKK zippers.

Leatherworking has interested me for many years, the feel, the smell, it is a very tactile material.
Did you know that leather is a recycled material? If it wasn't for the fact that leather is used for making products with, either practical or decorative applications, over 7 million tonnes of hides would end up as refuse and landfill around the world.
The leather that I use is Australian sourced and Australian tanned where possible.
I am proud to be supporting Australian Made.
I have a range of handmade leather items available for purchase and I am happy to work with you on custom orders too.
