Leatherworking is a craft that has been around for centuries and has a wide variety of applications in everyday life.
Based in Central Queensland I have been doing leatherworking for several years. The items that I create are all handmade using as many Australian Made products as possible, including the leather.
These rugged hard wearing covers are just the thing for protecting and personalising your notebook, financial diary, personal diary, journal, sketchbook or any other type of book that you can think of with up to 200 pages.
Each A5 cover has space for some credit cards, a small ruler, a double loop pen holder so your pen will always be at hand and has a retaining strap with a snap closure.
Made from hard wearing full grain leather this product will develop a unique patina of its own over time that will only improve with age. These come with kangaroo hide inner panels so the overall thickness of the cover is kept to a minimum but the strength and integrity is maintained.
Aftercare:
We recommend treating your leather item with some Dubbin or a quality leather conditioner every 12 months to keep the leather soft and flexible.

Leatherworking has interested me for many years, the feel, the smell, it is a very tactile material.
Did you know that leather is a recycled material? If it wasn't for the fact that leather is used for making products with, either practical or decorative applications, over 7 million tonnes of hides would end up as refuse and landfill around the world.
The leather that I use is Australian sourced and Australian tanned where possible.
I am proud to be supporting Australian Made.
I have a range of handmade leather items available for purchase and I am happy to work with you on custom orders too.
